THE CREW
STATEMENT OF COVENANT
The name of MBCC’s Young Adults Group is The CREW. “CREW” should be displayed in all caps as it is an acronym for Christians Rejoicing in Everyday Works, meaning that we should all strive to follow the teachings of Jesus, and reflect them in our words and in our actions.
Carrying on the tradition of generational groups at MBCC, The CREW is a Christian group of young adults, both singles and couples, roughly in the age range of 20’s to 40’s. The CREW shall not discriminate against any member or proposed member due to age or marital status.
The CREW is designed to promote and fulfill Christian values in its members’ lives in accordance with the Bible and the teachings of Jesus. The CREW shall be governed by the principles of Spirituality, Community and Church Service, and Christian Fellowship.
The CREW shall organize at least one event per month centered on one of the guiding principals:
Dues shall be paid per member on an annual basis and determined by precedent and need. Changes in dues shall be subject to approval by a majority vote of The CREW.
The CREW shall have board of officers consisting of Chairperson(s), Assistant Chairperson(s), Treasurer(s). These positions shall be nominated and voted on in November each year with the officers installed in January. Current members of CREW (with dues paid as of voting day) will be entitled to vote for officers.
These articles of this Statement of Covenant may be amended by two-thirds vote of the members (with dues paid as of voting day) of The CREW.
